19th January 2010
There is going to be a new course for the St. Patrick's Day Race in St. Louis on the 13th of March...a week after the Hiberian run at the store. My race is the same course and I expect a bigger crowd this year. Last year we had 904 entries. The St. Patrick's Day Race directions is as follows:
The Run begins on Broadway, between Walnut & Clark Streets. It proceeds north to Pine Street, then west to Tucker, and quickly south to Market. Runners continue west on Market to Compton Ave. Turning right, the Run goes northward to Olive Street, where it turns and heads east. It continues east to Broadway, where it turns south for a 500 meter downhill sprint to the finish. The Run is 5 miles long.

9th January 2010
Hopefully, this cold weather will soon be gone. However, if you are still running outside, don't forget to put something on your face--vaseline or bodyglide to eliminate frostbite.
